Title: AI or not AI? From blurb texts to InDesign to raspberry jam

This talk will present practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in publishing. The focus is on the use of AI technologies for optimizing content and as a creativity booster, all the way to automating layout processes. Both the possibilities and the limitations of artificial intelligence in the publishing industry will be discussed. The aim is to show publishers how they can increase their efficiency and improve the quality of their publications by integrating AI. The talk is aimed at publishers looking for an in-depth look at current AI technologies and their applicability in the publishing industry. And what does all this have to do with raspberry jam? You'll learn that, too, in this presentation.

Presentation 3:

Title: XML for everyone: Accessibility, Process Automation, Digital Strategy - the industry has made up its mind

The use of XML has become a "technological no-brainer" for the industry. X technologies have been established and tested among experts for years, but it took new demands from the market on the one hand and convenient tools on the other to make media-neutral data a matter of course and the new normal in the publishing industry. The call for "XML for all" is currently also coming strongly from the Börsenverein's IT Standards Task Force, which aims to pave the way through the digital transformation for small and medium-sized publishers in particular by creating standards. A publisher that decides to adopt new production workflows and a digital content strategy today can access a vast wealth of industry experience, established data standards, and convenient software solutions that interact ever more seamlessly. It is within this framework that the integration of parsX, the XML-first production framework for general-interest, non-fiction, and trade book publishers, into Xpublisher was born. It combines convenient content management with process automation and the highest production quality. The fact that this is done on the basis of XML data, however, is no longer apparent to the user.
