The challenge

As of January 1, 2020, all on a stock exchange listed companies are required to publish annual and financial reports and financial statements for fiscal years beginning on or after January 1, 2020 in a uniform European electronic format (ESEF). In Germany, this also applies to the individual financial statements of listed companies under commercial law. Additional requirements apply to consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The EU Commission has set a technical regulatory standard for an EU-wide electronic reporting format that defines binding requirements for company reports.

The solution

Xpublisher tags content semantically according to the ESEF specifications and organizes it in XBRL format as it is created. Intelligent author support allows multiple users to work on a report at the same time, while providing intuitive guidance. This saves time, ensures compliance with ESEF requirements and simplifies publication in XHTML format. Xpublisher supports standards such as ESEF, XBRL and DocBook. It can be integrated easily into existing systems such as CMS and DMS.
